Day of the Hunter (1960). Cass Callicot is one of the original frontiersman who's exploits have been written about in dime store novels and newspapers. He considers himself to be the best with a rifle and he comes to Northfork to prove that against Lucas. However Lucas doesn't want any part of a shooting match between him and Cass. He won't take no for an answer and he attempts to goad Lucas into a contest. When all else fails Cass uses Mark as a pawn in his game.
