"The road to god knows..." is the story of Marie, a teenage girl coming to grips with her Mom's schizophrenia. As a result, she's struggling to grow up fast; wrestling with poverty, loneliness, and her Mom's illness every step of the way. Betty, Marie's Mom, can't help; she's living with an illness that's slowly getting worse and increasingly frightening, and she just doesn't have the resources left over at the end of the day to help Marie. With her Mom absorbed in her own problems, Marie is essentially alone while she learns to deal with the chaos in her young life. Marie's youth makes it that much harder for her to cope - as a teenager, she just doesn't have the life experience to feel confident about her decisions. At the start of the story, we see a scared young girl, uncertain and overwhelmed, but as Betty collapses into a full nervous breakdown, Marie is forced to examine herself and her life and come to a decision: does she continue to be a child, reacting to what's happening around her? Or does she take control of her life, come what may?

Spheriot is a one-man project - all the music comes from my heart and head and is produced in my livingroom and spare time! There has never been any kind of concept in the music - or any aim to sound like this or that. It just evolves from the songs I have always been writing on my guitar - and my roots as a "producer" in just playing around with my Mac a little. But somehow it developped to a kind of pop-music that I never expected it to be like - even if there is always one or another song, that doesn't really fit in the picture. Hysteria was conceived with the idea of using sounds of water and earthquakes and creating an eerie atmosphere. The rhythmic quality of some of the soundscapes was made by use of beat-like structures taken from recordings of earthquakes as registered through seismographic institutes. As for the rest: a cave-like atmosphere was intended and in difference to the dark ambient pieces, some are experiments in sheer noise and deconstruction. The whole of the mini-album is to be seen as one and was done in a relatively short time in the summer of 2007.Released also on CD by Verato Projectand Gears of Sand.

Midazolam feels slightly darker than SSRI, Robert Witt's debut release. But it can easily be more addictive. Crisp, detailed sounds embedded in a warm, ambient bath of bass, soothing and ominous at the same time. I guess the title kind of says it all...Midazolam is split in two parts. Tracks 1-7 (esc.rec.22) are available as a free download. Tracks 8-13 (esc.rec.23) are released as a cd-r. The two Midazolam releases fit very well together, but aren't just 'more of the same'. The most obvious difference is the absence of beats in tracks 1-7. Hope you enjoyed this free download as well as I did. I was born about 18 years ago in my parents house under my regular name, but after some long years of playing classical cello I decided another identity wouldn't be such a bad idea. This is how Yoshimi! was born. Yoshimi! is not a band, it's just one person, me. I usually make music, alone, with my trusty computer and instruments. I don't want to brag, but I play a lot of instruments. Here are some in which I am more qualified: Cello, Conga, Guitar, Synth, Bass, Bongo, Tarbuka, Rababa, Harmonium, Trumpet, Accordeon, Euphonium, Drums, Ukulele and some other small things... Every instrument, or better said, everything you hear on my songs is played, sung, yelled or squeezed by myself. I also do my own vocals, production and artwork. What I don't do is use samples by other artists. Oh... Yeah! Besides that, I would really like to point out that I'm not one of those dusty guys who only record in their bedrooms or garrets. Each song flows constantly, moving from one idea to the next, the roving guitar lines intertwine with the melodic bass patterns, underpinned by drums playing stacatto lead flourishes and driving rhythm simultaneously, before all comes together in harmonic unity. It may take many listens to fully understand the genius behind each movement, but good music should lend itself to repeat listens.

Transfolmer is the name Tjeerd Folmer uses for his activities as musician and composer. He has been a musician for more than 25 years, mainly as bass/guitar player in bands.For Folmer, music is a necessity of life. In his music he tries to create a personal atmosphere combining the warm acoustic sounds of guitar and vocals with the more abstract sound of electronics.
